As aviation faces unprecedented challenges, innovation is crucial for shaping the future of air travel. EUROCONTROL’s Innovation Hub (EIH) plays a key role in tackling these challenges, actively contributing to SESAR 3 Wave 1 and preparing for Wave 2 (2027-2029). This briefing will highlight our efforts to promote aviation sustainability, integrate new airspace users and accelerate the adoption of transformative technologies in air traffic management (ATM). We’ll discuss how we amplify the SESAR programme, encourage market uptake and foster innovation across the aviation ecosystem. Additionally, we’ll explore disruptive technologies that will redefine ATM, ensuring more efficient, resilient and sustainable skies. This presentation will offer a clear overview of EUROCONTROL’s vision, current projects and the collaborative innovation shaping the future airspace.
